WWII German Heer Medal & Award Document Grouping
Item: GM3243

A seldom encountered grouping pertaining to one German soldier.  He served with the 226th Infantry regiment.  He was awarded, and this grouping includes, his iron cross 2nd class with document; infantry assault badge with missing catch, w/document; 3rd class wound badge w/document; a document sent to his parents with the EKII explaining he was a recipient of the award but was wounded and his location was temporarily unknown; 1935 sports document; framed photograph; four POW documents; discharge document from allied government.  Great grouping with research potential.
